Fatal Accident In Farmington

On Wednesday, February 24, at 11:36 AM, Farmington Police and Fire Department personnel, and paramedics with ALF Ambulance, responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries on Pilot Knob Road at the intersection with 206th Street West in the City of Farmington. According to a press release issued by the Farmington Police Department, a Ram pickup truck was traveling south on Pilot Knob Road when it rear-ended a Ford Escape that was stopped in left lane waiting to turn east onto 206th Street West. Both drivers were alone in the vehicles. The driver of the Ford, 65-year-old Farmington resident Mark J. Holton, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ram, 29-year-old Jacob J. Askew, also of Farmington, was examined by paramedics at the scene and declined further medical attention. The Farmington Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating this crash.
