The season continues on an up note for the 3 time defending state champion Hastings Raiders Marching Band. Their travel to Marshall Minnesota on Saturday resulted in a stellar effort and the first place award for the group. They received caption awards for best brass, best woodwinds, battery and percussion. Also tops in best visual presentation, best music and outstanding general effect. This competition is a favorite of the group which attends the competition each year in South West Minnesota. Directors Emily Chandler , Josh Wahlstrom and Thomas Wentzler fine tune the show as they go thru the season and were happy with the first place nod.
