Recent hires at the city have meant several new residents being introduced to time-honored traditions. At the 75th annual community Booya on Sunday, new firefighter Brandon Scharmer experienced his first such event and I asked him for his impression of the fundraiser.
Scharmer has only been on the job for a short time and said he is glad to be involved with a community that shows such support for the Fire Department. He also had a typical response to the question of which version of the Booya was his favorite.
Scharmer and Adam Finseth are the newest firefighters and will step into some big boots in the planning of the 76th annual Booya.
