ISD 200 School Board candidate Joe Becker recently sat down for an in-depth interview on KDWA. This will be Becker’s first time running for a school board seat, which carries a four-year term. He has been an active volunteer in the Hastings community since moving here with his family in 1999. Becker, who has a daughter that graduated last year and two other children currently attending Hastings High School, says he was motivated to run for the school board after talking with a teacher at the high school.
Becker also said that as someone whose family has benefited from a well run school district, he would like to see that standard continue.
The election for the five open school board seats will be held on November 3rd.
