The Friends of Freedom Park were recently awarded a $10,000 grant to support programs at the Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center. Freedom Park Executive Director Jessica Bierbrauer says she is appreciative of the funding.
Bierbrauer says without any state or federal support, balancing the parks budget can be a challenge, but she considers it a labor of love.
