The Dakota County Sheriff relayed information on Monday that Patrol deputies had taken a suspicion report at the intersection of Berring Avenue and 225 Street W in Castle Rock Township where an approximately 60 year old white male, in a black pick-up truck approached a 10 year old girl at approximately 4PM, The man had offered the girl $100 dollars and candy if she would get into his truck to help him find his “lost” puppy. The Sheriff’s department advises parents to be on the lookout and to advise your children to stay away from strangers. Take notice of license plate numbers and any vehicle that is new to an area. They advise the public to call 911 immediately if you see anything suspicious
