SEAS Constructing New Rectory

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Hastings has begun construction of a new rectory on the northwest section of the church campus on the corner of 15th Street, and O’Connell Drive. According to information published on the church website, excavation began on the 7th, after the church received the building permits for construction. During the next several months, the construction crew will work to complete the building. The completion date for the project is dependent on many factors, but will hopefully take place sometime in the spring of 2020. The current rectory is closer to the SEAS school campus and will be put on the market soon. Fathers Dave Hennen and Matt Shireman will continue to reside there until the new rectory is ready. Church staff state that a generous parishioner left enough money in her will to cover the entire cost of this rectory project.
