PAFEA To Consider Service Changes

The Prescott Area Fire and EMS Association is scheduled to meet on Thursday, November 7th, at 7 PM, at the River Falls City Hall. The meeting will focus on EMS service for the Prescott Area for 2021 and beyond. According to the meeting packet, the cost to River Falls to provide the service has seen a 57% increase since 2015, while seeing a 9% decrease in fee-for-service revenue, due mainly to fewer calls. With this data, River Falls states that the program will operate at a $371,000 deficit for 2020. One solution suggested is a non-governmental health care system based EMS service, which may be able to spread costs over a wider enterprise, and share revenues. The meeting is open to the public.
