Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer recently visited the KDWA studios to remind listeners that winter is coming and bringing with it the seasonal need to be aware of snowfall on city streets. Chief Schafer compared clear streets with clear sidewalks.
Snow emergencies are declared when accumulations of 2 inches or more occur, and until the streets are cleared curb to curb.
