Council To Consider Temporary ROW Expansion

The Hastings City Council will be requested to authorize the City Engineer to sign a Temporary Permit to Construct from MnDOT to accommodate construction limits and temporary access for the Highway 316 Improvements project. According to information provided to the Council, The construction of Highway 316 will require some space outside of MnDOT Right-of-Way to grade the new roadway to match existing conditions and for a temporary access drive to be built during the construction of the roundabout at Tuttle Drive. In order to do this, MnDOT needs a temporary permit, or easement, in place to complete the work. The request was included on the Consent Agenda for the June 15th meeting of the City Council.
