On Thursday, April 1st, at approximately 8:15 PM, the Prescott Police Department was notified of a structure fire in the 1200 block of Canton Street. According to a PPD press release, officers arriving on the scene observed smoke billowing from the building. Officers determined from eyewitness reports and investigation that the building was unoccupied, and provided support to the Prescott Fire Department, who extinguished the fire. The PCSO and Allina EMS also provided scene support. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
