The Hastings Raiders Girls Softball team used an eight-run fifth inning, batting 14 Raiders, to polish off the Simley Spartans, in the first of two meetings this week, winning 13-3 in the sixth inning, on a wild pitch that brought home Kendal Jenkins with the winning run. Now, the Raiders are back to .500 overall, and at 6-5 in the Metro East Conference. KDWA’s Nick Tuckner has more on the patience the Raiders showed in Tuesday’s win.
