The Hastings Fire and EMS Department responded to a house fire on the corner of 13th and Eddy Streets at about 4:30 PM on Wednesday afternoon. Assistant Fire Chief Chris Paulson provided the details of the call.
The fire burned a significant portion of the corner of the house, and melted the siding on the detached garage. Witnesses state that the occupant of the residence said she was taking a shower at the time the fire started.
