Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer’s watch will be ending at the end of the month, and Mayor Mary Fasbender recently offered praise for his time as Chief in Hastings.
She also announced that there will be a ceremony to honor his service.
Deputy Chief David Wilske will become Chief when Schafer steps down.
