The case against Mary Schommer moved forward on Monday morning, when she made her initial appearance in court. Schommer is accused of funneling $173,000 from her mother for her own personal expenses, and to keep her business open, and was charged with seven counts of felony financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult while acting as her mother’s power of attorney and sole trustee. The next appearance for Schommer is set for July 27th, at 1:30 PM, in Hastings.
