United Way of Hastings has announced that the Hastings Police and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office are facing off in the second annual Sound the Siren food drive. The Food for Kids “Sound the Siren” Food Drive is in full swing and ends May 27. You can donate individual serving size food items that kids love or make a monetary donation. The bins for the Police Department are located at City Hall and in the Police Department Lobby. The buildings are open from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The food drive supports the United Way of Hastings Food 4 Kids program and is a fun, competitive event with the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office. Let’s fill the squads so they can Sound the Siren on May 27th. The department with the most contributions gets to put a pie in the face of the losing Police Chief or Sheriff!
