The Hastings Downtown Business Association will be having a Summer Music Series for 2022, and the Hastings City Council has been asked to expand the area in which alcohol may be served during these events. City Administrator Dan Wietecha introduced the issue.
The Council discussed sending this issue first to City staff and then the Public Safety Committee. City Attorney Land indicated that there are different mechanisms for approving this kind of event if there is an interest. The Council approved referring the topic to staff and the Public Safety Committee by unanimous vote.
