To conserve water and to effectively manage the City’s water system, the City of Hastings has odd-even day lawn sprinkling from May 15 to September 1 of each year. The City also prohibits lawn watering between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during this same time period. Additionally, during times of moderate, severe, and extreme drought, the City may enact enhanced restrictions and/or prohibitions for non-essential uses of water.
