Wednesday, March 29, marked 50 years since the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam. The Dakota County Board was honored Monday to be joined by a group of Vietnam veterans as the county commemorated National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard was also on hand, to present the colors and join in celebrating the heroic efforts of some of our local Vietnam War veterans. The DCSO encourages residents to join them in celebrating National Vietnam War Veterans Day and thank the vets for their service.
