The recent Highway 61 Open House at City Hall generated a lot of feedback, and the City of Hastings reports that the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Highway 61 study project team is reviewing all of the feedback to fine-tune the plan before finalizing the study. Meetings with business owners who would be directly impacted by changes to the transportation corridor are also being scheduled for later this month. The team continues to review ways to balance individual business concerns with necessary improvements of mobility and safety on the highway.
