Bomb Threat Reported At Fleet Farm

On Thursday evening at 5:42 PM, Hastings Police Officers responded to a report of a bomb threat posted on a bathroom door at the Fleet Farm of Hastings. Officers arriving on the scene located the note at 5:51, indicating there was a bomb that would detonate at 6:29. According to a HPD press release, Officers and staff initiated an evacuation of the building at 5:55. The St. Paul Bomb Squad was contacted along with Metro Transit with a request for a Bomb Detection K9. The Metro Transit K9 Officer arrived at 6:52 and began a search of the building. The St. Paul Bomb Squad Technician sarrived and assisted with the search. The building was cleared at 7:02 with nothing suspicious located in the building. Hastings PD will continue to investigate this incident. Chief Wilske thanks the St. Paul Police Department and the Metro Transit Police Department for their assistance with this call.
