On Thursday evening at 5:42 PM, Hastings Police Officers responded to a report of a bomb threat posted on a bathroom door at the Fleet Farm of Hastings. Officers arriving on the scene located the note at 5:51, indicating there was a bomb that would detonate at 6:29. According to a HPD press release, Officers and staff initiated an evacuation of the building at 5:55. The St. Paul Bomb Squad was contacted along with Metro Transit with a request for a Bomb Detection K9. The Metro Transit K9 Officer arrived at 6:52 and began a search of the building. The St. Paul Bomb Squad Technician sarrived and assisted with the search. The building was cleared at 7:02 with nothing suspicious located in the building.
