A garage sale recently held by the Hastings Historical Society had a good day, in spite of weather hampering the sale. According to the Society, the sale was a success, with a steady stream of customers. Total proceeds for the group were $659, including about $17 in donations in a donation jar. The Society also sold $15 worth of items that belonged to the Pioneer Room, making a grand total of $674 for the day. At least 100 people stopped by, despite the rain. Proceeds will be used for things like school tours at the LeDuc Historic Estate and an annual Hastings High School scholarship that HAHS funds.
