The City of Hastings recently published the results of a drinking water study conducted for the period of January 1st to December 31st of 2022. The study was conducted with the Minnesota Department of Health to test drinking water for more than 100 contaminants. According to the report, it is not unusual to detect contaminants in small amounts. No water supply is ever completely free of contaminants. Drinking water standards protect Minnesotans from substances that may be harmful to their health. The report indicates that there were no violations of contaminant thresholds for Lead, Copper, Barium, Nitrates, Trihalomethane, Haloacetic Acids, Fluoride, or Chlorine in Hastings drinking water. The complete study is available on the City website.
