Refinery Bill Signed Into Law

On Tuesday, Governor Walz signed Senator Judy Seeberger’s legislation into law requiring the use of skilled contractors at Minnesota refineries. The legislation will help prevent catastrophic accidents, protect workers, and ensure communities are kept safe. Senator Seeberger was in attendance as the bill was signed into law at the Steamfitters and Pipefitters Local 455 Headquarters. Senator Seeberger thanked former Senator Bigham for her work on this legislation, and expressed appreciation for the support of her colleagues in getting this done, for the workers who fought for these protections, and for Governor Walz for signing this legislation into law.
