Emergency crews were dispatched to Vermillion Falls Park on Monday, after a 17-year-old was struck in the head by a falling rock with reported serious bleeding. Crews located the patient at the bottom of the cliffs and requested the Special Operations Team to respond for a rope rescue. The patient was reported to be oriented enough to climb up with rescuers. The victim’s name and current condition have not been released.
