The Hastings City Council recently accepted a generous donation from the Tecla Karpen Estate. City Administrator Dan Wietecha introduced the action.
The City Council read a resolution at its Dec. 20 meeting, stating, in part, that “Tecla Karpen was passionate in protecting critical habitats”. The donated funds could be used for projects that include habitat restoration and enforcement at numerous City Parks.
