The Hastings City Council revisited a proposal to increase the stipend for Council members and the Mayor on Monday evening. City Administrator Dan Wietecha briefed the Council on the issue to date.
He said that recommendations were based from a recent comparison study.
After Council discussion of moving the date of the stipend increase to January 3 of 2023, the Council approved the increase by majority vote, with Councilmembers Vaughan, Lund and Braucks opposing.
