The City of Hastings reports that Pleasant Drive will be closed to through traffic until approximately October of 2023. A detour route using 15th St., General Sieben Drive and County Road 46 will be signed for the duration of the closure. According to the City, the 2023 Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvements will be upgrades to Pleasant Drive between County Road 46 and 15th Street. With the proposed improvements, Pleasant Drive will be reduced in width, and parking consolidated to only the west side of the roadway. In addition to a new road surface and utility improvements along this stretch of Pleasant Drive, a 10-foot-wide trail would replace the existing sidewalk along the west side of the corridor.
