Operation Metro Surge began in December 2025 and is still underway in the Twin Cities and metro
area. There have been anti-ICE protests throughout the metro area to counter the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE. KDWA connected with Minnesota District 41 political leaders State Representative Tom Dippel (R) and Senator Judy Seeberger (DFL).
