On Wednesday, April 22, solar panels were delivered to Kennedy Elementary School. Folks who live near the
elementary school had some questions about the solar panels. Two of those questions were about the placement of the solar panels and notification about the project—neighbors say they didn’t receive mailers. KDWA reached out to Superintendent Dr. Kristine Wehrkamp Herman for an overview and background of the solar panel project at Kennedy Elementary.

KDWA also connected with Community Development Director John
Hinzman about the solar panel project at Kennedy Elementary School. KDWA presented the two questions from neighboring residents of Kennedy Elementary. Question one was about the location of the solar panels on the ball field instead of the roof, and the second question was about resident notification of the project.
