Lionheart Wellness and Recovery has multiple new programs and options for those going through addiction recovery
in Hastings. Clinical Director Tiffany Neuharth said one of the new programs they are providing is new housing options for those who are in need of a safe place for recovery.
“One of the cool things that is new for us too, we’ve opened our first lodging. It’s a board and lodge with special services, that is specifically for folks who are in our IOP program. So people in our outpatient and need a safe place to stay while they are doing treatment, we’ve got a place called Valor House that they can come and stay in. That’s for men, we are opening another one here probably in 1-2 months, that we’re not sure if that is going to be for women or not. That’s sort of a flex house that we can switch it up if we need to based on needs.”
Neuharth said there are multiple treatment options to take advantage of, including a new virtual option called Lionheart Connect for those in the community who find it difficult to travel or have other barriers.
“The cool thing about Lionheart Connect, and I encourage people to go to our website which is www.lionheart.support and check this out. It’s pretty innovative in that it really works to break down barriers for people to access care. Dakota County is a third rural. A third of us is really rural, not access to many services out in the rural community. With Lionheart Connect, we will ship a small tablet with earphones. All you need to do is make sure you have a WiFi connection. It’s a locked down tablet, that all you have to do is turn it on, connect to your WiFi, and it’s a simple push of a button to connect with my group, connect with a counselor for a one-on-one. It’s foolproof. So for those of you who are not tech savvy, we’ve made it very easy to navigate.
Neuharth said if anyone is on the fence about starting their recovery journey or not sure where to start, asking questions and learning more is the first step, and they are here to be on that journey with you.
“We just want to let people know that you are seen, you are cared about, I am here. It goes a really long way. And if you are someone who does struggle, don’t hesitate to go to Rise Up and walk in those doors and just reach out for help. Or give us a call saying you need to connect with somebody and get peer support. There is a lot of options. You are never alone in this, never ever ever alone. We are stronger and better together.”
Neuharth said those who want to learn more should go to their website https://lionheart.support/, or listen to the full interview on Community In Depth on KDWA and KDWA.com.
