A Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvement update for the City of Hastings.
For the week of June 26, construction crews have wrapped up watermain and sanitary sewer work along Pleasant Drive between Highway 55 and Westview Drive.
Crews also began testing the newly installed water main, while storm sewer construction got underway in the same area.
Looking ahead for this week, storm sewer work will continue along Pleasant Drive and is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
Once water main testing is finished, residents will begin transitioning from the temporary water system to the new permanent water main.
Drivers should also be aware that the intersection of 4th Street and Pleasant Drive is expected to close during the week of July 6th for utility work. More details will be released next week, with advance warning signs and a posted detour route.
Folks, remember, do not move the wooden survey stakes, as they’re essential to the project. The City also asks that residents avoid parking on streets under construction between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
