The Hastings Planning Commission met in regular session Monday evening.
The Commission held a public hearing on a special use permit application for Auto Repair in the C-4 District located at 1125 South Frontage Rd, Unit 140.
The commissioners discussed parking, customer passage through the repair facility to offices, types of repair work, and potential noise impact to adjoining tenants. The commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of the permit as presented. City Council will review on July 20th.
The commission also continued a zoning workshop with Leslie Oberholtzer of Codametrics, continuing her presentation on aspects of the proposed zoning code.
The commissioners discussed short-term rentals, accessory dwelling units (ADU’s), parking, and architectural requirements. Staff will revise the document with the commissioners available for public review before being brought back to the Planning Commission.
