The Miesville Mudhens continued their win streak Tuesday on the road at Northfield, taking down the Knights 6-4 as heard live on KDWA and the KDWA YouTube Stream. The Mudhens got a run early after an Alex Hendrickson double, stealing third, and was driven home on a Joey Werner sacrifice fly to lead 1-0.
The Knights found paydirt however in the third when they scored four runs after some uncharacteristic defensive mistakes by Miesville to lead 4-1. That lead would hold until the sixth inning when a bases-loaded passed ball cut the lead to 4-2, then Eddie Peine hit a three-run homerun over the left-center field fence to lead 5-4. Miesville added insurance in the ninth on an Evan Nelson RBI single to get to the final tally. Riley Ahern got the win in relief, Will Mitchell earned a hold out of the bullpen, and Max Gamm got the save.
