In this business highlight, KDWA connected with Luke Riveness, proprietor of Fox Red Firearms, to learn about the
products and services of Fox Red Firearms.
“Fox Red Firearms, we do transactions and transfers of firearms. We build like AR-15s, customizable. We can do sightings of optics. We are also USCC certified to do Minnesota concealed carry courses, and we also do a wide range of just firearms needs in general. We also received our SOT3 class three, which allows us to purchase and sell.”
Fox Red Firearms offers firearm safety and concealed carry classes. Luke shares about these classes and why firearm education is so important.
“We have our concealed carry courses that we are trying to do at least monthly, but you can reach out at any time, and that is in order to get your permit from the county that you live in in Minnesota to legally carry. In that class, we go through scenarios, what the law is going to do, where you can and cannot, a lot of, again, situational awareness, and also just safety in general. And then as far as training, that would a lot of times depend on the person. We’ve had people in the past who have never been around firearms but want to know more about it. They might not be very comfortable. So what we offer for those people is they can come out. It can be either a one-on-one or in a group setting, whatever they feel most comfortable with, and then we have a wide range of different firearms that they could try out if they want to, starting down from like a BB gun or a .22, and then if they feel more comfortable, we can work them up to something else, and then maybe find something they might consider purchasing down the road that they would have confidence.”
Whether a client is a first-time firearms owner or someone who is looking to build upon their experience, Luke explains that Fox Red Firearms classes are for everyone.
“It’s a wide range, anywhere from someone who has never handled a gun but may be interested, all the way through a person who has been carrying or purchasing firearms or has been around them their entire life. It’s a very, you know, wide range that you can have out there to be expected, and we want to just fulfill any need that anybody has.”
