A new monument recognizing the service and sacrifice of women veterans is coming to Eagan.
Since November, American Legion Post 594 has partnered with the City of Eagan and other community organizations to commission a statue that will be installed in the Tribute Plaza at Eagan Central Park.
A dedication ceremony and official unveiling of the sculpture are scheduled for July 2 at 6 p.m.
KDWA reporter Kristi Myre connected with American Legion Post 594 member Cindy Yanchury to learn more about the project and why the community should take an interest in the ceremony.
