Carbone’s Won’t Reestablish at 100 Sibley Street.

In a Carbone’s update.

KDWA reached out to Rob and Kristy Barse, proprietors of Mint Development. Mint Development, along with partners, purchased the former Onion Grill, located at 100 Sibley Street. 100 Sibley Street was the expected location for Carbone’s reestablishment. Plans seemed to have changed.

Through email, Kristy Barse explains,

“Both parties executed a non-binding Letter of Intent regarding a potential lease at 100 Sibley Street. In late January, the Magnusons informed us they would not be moving forward with a lease agreement. As is common in commercial real estate transactions, a Letter of Intent outlines proposed business terms but does not obligate either party to enter into a final lease.” Barse continues, “There was no executed lease agreement between the parties. We respect the Magnusons and wish them the best in their future plans. At this time, we remain focused on the continued redevelopment of the property and supporting the vitality of downtown Hastings.”

KDWA will have more information in future reports.
