The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office has released an update after a search for a missing boater that took place earlier this summer. According to the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, Michael William Robinson, age 77, was found deceased downstream of his boat on August 4th.
Dakota County Sheriff Joe Leko said in a statement:
“This is not the outcome any of us had hoped for. Our hearts are with Michael’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the Dive Team, Drone Team, Special Operations Team, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Northstar Search and Rescue for their assistance during the search.
Preliminary findings indicate the circumstances of his death are not suspicious, however the incident remains under investigation and no additional information is publicly available at this time.
