January 10th was Pastor James Bzoskie Day, which was declared on January 5th at the Hastings City Council 
meeting. Pastor Jim was known for his encouragement and acts of kindness. Pastor Jim had a big impact in the Hastings community and beyond. January 10th was also Pastor Bzoskie’s funeral, which was held at the Hastings Middle School auditorium. The auditorium was full of family, friends, first responders, and community members to pay their respects to the Bzoskie family and to Pastor Jim.
Pastor Jim was known for asking, “How can I pray for you?” as well as encouraging fellow pastors to “keep the main thing the main thing.”
KDWA spoke with Pastor Randy Berg of Calvary Church and Pastor Brent Kompelien of New Life Evangelical Free Church.
Pastor Berg offered a glimpse into the life and work of Pastor Jim Bzoskie, and Pastor Brent Kompelien spoke about the impact Pastor Jim had on his life.
