The #1 Miesville Mudhens had their winning streak snapped at #3 Chaska falling to the Cubs 8-5 as heard live on KDWA. The Mudhens led 2-0 heading into the third inning off of a Brock Rinehart homerun, but Chaska plated two to tie the score in the bottom of the frame. Chaska took their first lead with a run in the fifth, another in the sixth, and one more in the seventh to lead 5-2 into the eighth. It seemed like the comeback kings were ready for another show when Brock Rinehart hit his second homerun of the game to tie it at 5 all through 7.5. The comeback stalled however when Chaska plated three in the bottom of the inning, and Miesville had the tying run on but were unable to score.
Miesville is now 25-4 on the season, and begins section play on Sunday against an opponent yet to be determined.
