On Monday, February 23, 2026, there was a Prescott City Council meeting.
There was a call to order and approval of committee minutes—the Parks and Public Works Committee minutes from February 16th and the Health and Safety Committee minutes from February 18th.
The approved consent agenda items were a special event permit application for the Klecker family reunion at Freedom Park.
And the final consent agenda item is a grant agreement with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services and the City of Prescott for $5,733 for the Oral Health program.
In the communication and new business portion of the city council meeting, Director of the Prescott Public Library, Carissa Langer, presented the Prescott Library Annual Report.
KDWA connected with Director Langer for further insight into the presentation.
There was a 10% increase in book checkout. Director Langer explains what caused the 10% increase, and Langer also speaks to the 75% increase in Prescott Library’s program attendance.
If you are interested in getting your library card, Director Langer tells you how. You can check out things beyond books and movies; there are also snowshoes and science kits. Head to the Prescott Library to find out more.
