UPDATE 10:54 a.m. KDWA can confirm that tonight’s Hastings vs South Saint Paul hockey game is ON as scheduled, and will be played at United Heroes League at 6:30.
Due to the Freezing Rain and slippery travel conditions, both Hastings and Prescott have canceled school for January 6. All after school activities in Prescott are canceled, but 4K students will have distance learning.
In Hastings, the district said
“Due to icy road conditions, specifically the gravel roads and the number of students impacted, there will be NO SCHOOL today, January 6th. This includes preschool, ECFE, and ECSE. Kids’ Campus, Community Ed classes, Tilden Senior Center, and facility rentals are canceled. For Hastings High School Athletics and Activities – please see communication from your coach or advisor”.
As of 8:08 a.m., KDWA had not received any postponements in relation to sports, with Hastings hockey expected to host South Saint Paul at United Heroes League tonight.
