The Prescott Girls Basketball team earned a huge win this week with a 63-61 win over McDonnell Central Catholic out of Chippewa Falls, expected to be a top team in Division 5. The back and forth game saw the Cardinals slowly pull away late after being tied at 29 at halftime, taking a two possession lead via free throws before the Macks hit a late three to cut it to two, but right before the buzzer.
Violet Otto led the way with 30 points for the Cardinals, as the Saint Cloud State commit is expected to have a big year.
Prescott improved to 1-1 with the win, having dropped a tough opening game to Elk Mound 53-49 earlier in the week.
