Hastings Baseball Wins Tight Contest with North St. Paul

The Hastings Raiders baseball team won a tight matchup with North St. Paul on the road Wednesday 2-1 as heard live on KDWA. The Raiders stranded four runners in the first two innings as they trailed 1-0 going into the third, but a Brady Hendrickson two-RBI single put the Raiders up 2-1. Starting pitcher Zach Simon went the entire seven innings giving up just the one run on five hits striking out nine, while Cole Werner went 3-3 at the plate with a walk and a run scored.

Head coach Ryan Stoffel said the bats came through when the squad needed them to, and they played a clean game to get the win.

The Raiders are now 3-2 overall on the season, and will match up with Two Rivers today at home.
