Dakota County is offering a pumpkin drop-off at the Hastings Transportation Shop, located at 900 County Road 47 on November 7 and 8.

Bring your pumpkins and gourds to the labeled bins near the Maintenance Facility anytime during the weekend after Halloween. Collected pumpkins will be reused as food for hogs.

Before dropping them off:

• Remove all candles, wax and other decorations.
• Painted or glittered pumpkins cannot be accepted and should go in the trash.
• Only pumpkins and gourds are allowed in the bins.

Help give your pumpkins a second life while keeping them out of the landfill!
